Roberto Cavalli Vintage 2001 Turquoise Psychedelic Beaded Sequin Jeans

A pair of Roberto Cavalli jeans from 2001, washed in luminous turquoise and covered in a psychedelic feather-like print with hand-applied beads, sequins and metallic embroidery.

Cut in a low-rise, gently flared silhouette, the jeans feature a fitted shape through the hips and thighs before opening slightly towards the hem. The print moves across the denim in swirling bands of turquoise, cream, deep teal and black, forming oversized motifs that resemble peacock feathers, butterfly wings and zebra markings all at once.

The embellishment follows the movement of the print rather than sitting separately on top of it. Bronze and iridescent bugle beads, tiny translucent sequins and metallic thread trace the feathered lines from the upper thighs down through the legs, catching the light without flattening the graphic underneath. Jeans, technically. A turquoise hallucination, spiritually.

Traditional five-pocket construction keeps the base recognisable, complete with belt loops, a zip fly and a gold-tone Roberto Cavalli button at the waistband. The back is comparatively restrained through the seat, allowing the embellishment to sweep around the sides and legs instead.

Made in Italy and tagged size S, the jeans retain their original Roberto Cavalli label, size tag and European textile-manufacturer label. The exact fibre composition has not been independently verified from the available labels.

The pair presents exceptionally well for its age. The turquoise colour remains vivid, the psychedelic print is clearly defined and the remaining beadwork, sequins, embroidery, seams and overall structure remain well preserved.
