A playful vintage D&G Dolce & Gabbana tank featuring the statement “I’M AHEAD OF THE TIMES” rendered across the front in shimmering gold-tone sequins.
Cut in a fitted camisole silhouette, the top is crafted in black with contrasting mustard-gold trim tracing the scoop neckline, slender shoulder straps and arm openings. The front is dominated by oversized sequin lettering, giving the piece a distinctly bold, tongue-in-cheek character synonymous with D&G’s playful approach to early-2000s dressing.
The reverse is comparatively minimal, finished with a metallic-effect D&G Dolce & Gabbana logo at the upper back. The contrast between the clean black ground, gold-toned trim and high-impact sequin slogan gives the piece an unmistakable Y2K feel while remaining highly wearable.
The top remains exceptionally well preserved. The black fabric retains a rich, even appearance, while the contrasting trim remains vibrant and the sequin lettering presents beautifully. The original D&G label, size tag and hologram authenticity label remain intact, with the original construction, stitching and finishes well maintained.
Overall, the top presents exceptionally well for its age, retaining its strong colour, statement sequin detailing and distinctive D&G character.
