Christian Dior by John Galliano Hardcore Burgundy Leather Star Chain Pumps

A pair of Galliano-era Christian Dior Hardcore pumps in deep burgundy leather, finished with razor-sharp pointed toes, slim stiletto heels and silver-tone star-and-chain hardware.

The silhouette is sleek and severe, with an elongated toe and high-cut sides following the curve of the foot. A polished curb chain wraps across each vamp and continues around the outer side, anchored by oversized cut-out star charms engraved with the Dior logo. A perfectly sensible burgundy pump, until Galliano attached a star and ran a chain around it.

Tonal patent leather coats the narrow heels, bringing a glossier finish against the softly worn leather uppers. Inside, the pumps are lined in black leather and finished with burgundy insoles bearing oversized silver Dior branding.

Made in Italy and tagged size 36½, the pair retains its sculptural silhouette and all original chain and star hardware. The exact season and year have not yet been independently verified.
