Christian Dior by John Galliano 2004 Argyle Logo Sleeveless Polo Top

A John Galliano-era Christian Dior sleeveless polo from 2004, worked in a loud argyle pattern of hot pink, yellow, lilac, black and beige with oversized Dior lettering scattered through the checks.

Cut in a straight, easy silhouette, the top features a pointed black collar, black ribbed armhole trims and a short button placket finished with contrasting red buttons. The sleeveless polo shape is preppy on paper. Galliano, naturally, had other plans.

The argyle is broken up with enlarged letters and graphic fragments of the Dior name, turning a traditional golf-club motif into something much more early-2000s and slightly unruly. The colour combination does the rest: bubblegum pink, acid yellow and black colliding in exactly the right way.

Made in Italy from 100% cotton, the fabric has a soft knit-like hand with comfortable structure. The original Christian Dior Boutique Paris label, size and composition tags remain intact.

The piece presents very well overall, with light signs of wear consistent with age and previous use. The print remains bright and clearly defined, while the collar, buttons, trims, seams and overall structure remain well preserved.
